Adam Yauch prevents Beastie Boys music being in commercials

Adam Yauch, the former Beastie Boy who lost his battle with cancer earlier this year, has made one last punk rock ideological stand by preventing his music being used in commercials via his will.
The late MC, better known as MCA, included this special request in the will, which was filed on Tuesday in a Manhattan Surrogate Court.
The will also ensured his $6.4 million fortune would go to his wife and daughter and that his wife would have full control of his art after his death.
It is likely that the other two members of the Beastie Boys will still be able to sell their collective music in commercials.
