Fifty Shades Of Grey soundtrack tops US charts

A new compilation album based on music that inspired the author of menopausal women's erotica series, Fifty Shades Of Gray has reached the top of the charts in the US.

The album, which features 15 pieces of music from composers such as Bach and Chopin that inspired EL James during her creation of the mega-selling series of books, has topped the US Classical Albums Chart.

Not only that, but the compilation outsold every other record on the chart by 80 times,  that's a lot of middle-aged women Bach-ing themselves raw.

James says classical music was a vital part of her book, and to her leading male character billionaire Christian Grey. That and all the quivering loins.

"For Christian, I think he found that music healed his soul as a young child ... It's where he finds some peace, through music," she says.
