Over the years Russell Crowe has become more infamous for his musical endeavours than the he has been praised, with his band Forty Odd Foot Of Grunt becoming the butt of many jokes.

But that hasn't stopped Rusty from pursuing his passion and recently while he was in Iceland filming Darren Aronofsky's Noah, he performed some surprise gigs at some bars in Reykjavik.

Even more surprising was that at one of the shows, at the Kex Hostel, Crowe was joined onstage by punk rock legend Patti Smith, for a rendition of her Bruce Springsteen-penned hit, 'Because The Night.'
