P!nk

P!nk What a woman! And Yes! Yes!, she is absolutely still a Rock Star! And she has definitely still got not only her rock moves, but acrobat moves at well.

What a voice!!!!! P!nk herself is a spectacular musician, and it appears the band is just as multi talented.

The drummer came out and performed on the Cello, the keyboard player who is also the musical director, performed a piano solo that sent shivers down every audience members spine.

Once I saw the acrobatics that were involved I fully understood why the bar staff at the Entertainment Centre persisted on pouring everything (yes even bottled water) into paper cups.

If that concert doesn’t make the entire audience run out and book themselves into abdominals class I don’t know what will.

Music is truly the universal language. Where else can you stand between a biker and an star struck eight year old all singing from the same hymn sheet!? The eight year olds glasses almost popped off his face when P!nk performed a rather provocative cover song, dressed in sexy lingerie, writhing around on a couch!

I had glanced across the audience at the start of the show only to see the gorgeous Carey Hart, P!nk’s ex-husband turned rekindled flame, (who I imagine has seen the show several times before) belt a tune from a distance and sing along to all the songs from the back of the audience.

Funhouse is everything that you've come to expect from a P!nk concert. High energy, eye-popping costumes and damn good performance by the band and the Lady herself. The new silk, trapeze and bungee routines are extraordinary - a rollercoaster ride for the audience of holding your breath, hoping to all the Deities that those ropes don't snap, and screaming at the top of your lungs when she lands it. The fact that you know she's singing throughout these amazing feats is awe inspiring. The cover songs she's chosen should remain a secret so that they retain the impact, but were brilliantly chosen and executed. Surprise song on the night was Family Portrait - not my favourite song but the best version I've ever heard to date - awesome.
