The band played their last show under the Bourbon moniker in April, reforming for a benefit for Hooper. Frontman Tex Perkins reportedly then “hit upon the idea of getting all of the band’s members, past and present into a recording studio with no particular agenda other than to do just that”.
The result of that was The Beasts Still Here, an 11-track collection of songs from Charlie Owen, Boris Sujdovic, Tony Pola, Kim Salmon and Perkins and even includes one from Jones recorded prior to his death.
The album is due out 15 February and to celebrate its release, the band will head out for a 12-date tour across Australia next February.
Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday at 9am. Scroll down toGuide for all the details.
