In what will be one of the biggest tours in recent memory, Metallica have announced a stadium run of Australia this year with special guests, Slipknot.
The iconic outfit will bring their WorldWired tour to stadiums in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane this October.
As well as being their first trip to Australia since 2013, it will also be Metallica’s first headline stadium tour of the country.
While Metallica have performed over 130 shows on the world tour, Slipknot returned late last year with new track, All Out Life, before announcing this week that their sixth studio album will drop on 9 August just in time for the tour.
General public tickets for all dates go on sale from 2pm local time (excluding Sydney which go on sale from 3pm) on Monday 18 March.
